The Lions Club of Bletchley was formed in 1969, before Miltyon Keynes was developed, by a local chemist Peter Smith. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and today has 22male members and 3 female members.
Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The first meeting is a business meeting and the second is a dinner/social meeting often with a guest speaker. Membership is by invitation following application and is open to both men and women over age 18.
If you are wondering if membership of the Lions might appeal to you, may we suggest you consider the following questions;
* Do you need to utilise spare time, skills, energy ?
* Are you bored ?
* Do you want to put something back into society ?
* Is your social life a bit flat ?
If the answer is Yes to two or more of the above questions it sounds as if you should be talking to somebody in our club.
